I like your hind shape :) do you shoe most of your horses with that shape ? ... I guess what I'm asking is do you find that shape to be best for...

To me a hoof crack, be it toe, quarter or other.. Is hoof wall failure... So support the foot in a manner that reduces stress on the cracked area ......

It's probably just my experience with wedges ( not so much using them but pulling them off :()... If a horse has deep flexor/ navicular lesions...
I guess I have hard time writing what I mean ... Would not have used a wedge on that horse .. But atleast she fit the shoe well and used frog...

IMO the frog is as good a guide as we can have on the bottom of the foot .... Whether you use ducketts dot Or some other measurement from the apex...
